Jennifer Chieng uploaded two videos sharing information about an Operational Control Letter from March 25, 2025. The Operational Control Letter involves U.S. military development in Yap. In her first video, Jennifer reads out the terms of the OCL. In her second video, she gives background and her thoughts, and she questions the validity of the March 25 OCL. She says in her videos that she wanted to share information so people can make informed decisions.
A proposed agreement between the U.S. and Palau would allow Palau, at its discretion, to accept asylum-seekers from the U.S., the Island Times reported.
The Pacific is mourning the death of Northern Mariana Islands Gov. Arnold I. Palacios. From the Marianas Press: “Gov. Arnold Indalecio Palacios passed away at the age of 69 late Wednesday night after a medical incident led him to collapse in his office on Capitol Hill on Saipan. He was immediately rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center and later was medically evacuated by a military helicopter to the Guam Regional Medical City in Guam.”
